Messages on the role of the Angels

Message from the Guardian Angel of Portugal, Fatima, 1916:

“Bring peace to our country in this way … I am the Guardian Angel of Portugal. Accept and bear with submission all the sufferings the Lord will send you.”

September 29, 1893, Feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Rafael

“Today the Church is celebrating the feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Rafael. It is also your feast, beloved sons, because the angels of the Lord have a very important part to play in my victorious plan.

See now what a role is theirs; under my command, they are fighting a terrible battle against Satan and all the wicked spirits. It is a struggle proceeding more particularly on the perfect adhesion to the plan of two opposing leaders, the Woman clothed with the sun and of the Red Dragon.

To St. Gabriel has been given the task of clothing you with the strength of God himself. He fights against the most dangerous of the snares of Satan, which is that of weakening you, bringing you to discouragement and to weariness.

How many of you have stopped along the way of the consecration you have made to me, because of this human weakness of yours! To St. Rafael is given the task of pouring balm upon your wounds. Then also to St. Rafael is given the task of accompanying you along the road I have traced out for you, supplying you with the medicine that will heal all your spiritual aliments.

To St. Michael is given the task of defending you from the frightful attacks Satan unleashes against you. Satan attacks you on the spiritual fields with every kind of temptation and suggestion, to bring you to evil, to disorientation, to doubt and to distrust. Often he uses his favorite weapon, which is that of diabolical suggestions and impure temptation.

It is the Archangel Michael, patron of the universal Church, who with his great power intervenes and joins combat to liberate you from the evil one and his dangerous snares.

For this reason I invite you to invoke his protection with the daily recital of that brief but so very efficacious prayer of exorcism composed by Pope Leo XIII.”

Prayer for the Help of Angels

A Bernardine Sister was shown in spirit the vast desolation caused by the devil throughout the world, and at the same time she heard the Blessed Virgin telling her that it was true, hell had been let loose upon the earth; and that the time had come to pray to her as Queen of the angels and to ask of her the assistance of the heavenly legions to fight against these deadly foes of God and of men.

“But my good Mother,” she replied, “you who are so kind, could you not send them without our asking?” “No,” Our Lady answered, “because prayer is one of the conditions required by God Himself in obtaining favors.” Then the Blessed Virgin communicated the following prayer, bidding the Sister to have it printed and distributed:

August Queen of Heaven! Sovereign Mistress of the angels!

Thou who from the beginning hast received from God

the power and mission to crush the head of Satan,

we humbly beseech thee to send thy holy Legions,

that, under thy command and by thy power,

they may pursue the evil spirits, encounter them on every side,

resist their bold attacks and drive them hence into the abyss of eternal woe.

Daily Prayer to One’s Guardian Angel

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide, Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel 

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of Battle; Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke Him, we humbly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits, who prowl through the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

This powerful prayer of exorcism was composed by Pope Leo XIII; in a vision, he had been shown the fearful battle to be waged between Satan and St. Michael, over the Church of the future. Now, as never before, the Church needs the intercession of St. Michael. Please say this prayer every day.
